The Recovery Center
The Recovery Center is a large-scale program planned to process more than 300,000 materials for eventual reincorporation into the library's collections. Most were salvaged from the library's flooded basements and frozen for restoration in a dramatic effort immediately after Hurricane Katrina. Work within the center is expected to begin in February 2008.
