The Recovery Center
The Recovery Center is a large-scale program that is processing hundreds of thousands of materials for eventual re incorporation into the library's collections. Most were salvaged from the library's flooded basements and frozen for restoration in a dramatic effort immediately after Hurricane Katrina. Work within the center began in February 2008.
